5th Village Concept Project Symposium
Bagamoyo, Tanzania September 14th to 19th 2004 Village Concept Projects (VCP) help villagers in low-income countries to improve their living conditions. At the same time students from different countries and backgrounds get a chance to work together in the village and to learn about developmental work.
IFMSA students were involved in developing the first VCPs and play an active role today. Find out more: www.vcp.interconnection.org Aims: The VCP symposium aims to bring together those interested in development work, to share experiences among the participants on how to improve existing and future Village Concept Projects. The main areas to be addressed during this symposium will be to increase the knowledge and skills of the participants in different aspects of curbing poverty in rural communities of developing countries, to set strategies on how VCP can contribute to HIV/AIDS prevention, to share experience and set strategies to increase access to medicine in rural areas of developing countries, and to share experience among the participants on how to improve agriculture and livestock sector. Description: Five day symposium which will take place in Bagamoyo, Tanzania from the 14th to 19th of September 2004.
