Berlin: 15th European Students Conference: Invitation and call for abstracts
Dear colleagues, From October 19-23 2004 the European Students Conference (ESC) will be held for the 15th time. It is one of the largest and well known congresses of its kind. ESC is taking place at Charité, medical faculty of Berlin/Germany. The aim of ESC is to facilitate the exchange of ideas and knowledge between students and young scientists and to promote cultural understanding and friendship. Each year, about 300-400 young scientist - undergraduate, graduate students, and post-docs from medicine and related disciplines - gather in Berlin, a pulsing metropolis in the heart of Europe. Additionally, we have invited a number of senior researchers for the scientific board and talks to promote YOUR way into science, i.e. by enhancing your presentation method, mentoring etc.
This year, ESC focuses on Neuroscience, Infectious diseases, and Public health. However, all fields of biomedicine will be integrated in the various interdisciplinary sessions, all of which will be competing for the prices of >2500 E (in some years the prices raise >12,500E). For details, please have a look at the preliminary list of sessions at ESC.charite.de. To participate, send in your abstract by the 15th of June. Submission is only possible via ESC.charite.de. Alternatively, you can participate passively, i.e. without presenting your scientific work by applying (no deadline). So come and join our conference and meet new people from about 40 countries. We are looking forward to hearing from you soon. Your ESC Team 2004 More information: ESC.charite.de
